Alex Perez of Lowell, MA is building a future for himself! He’s pursuing a career in construction and on April 14, Alex, a student at the Shriver Job Corps in Devens, met with Commodore’s founding principals for a day-long job shadow. His itinerary included a trip to an active job site, a meeting with Commodore’s Director of Safety and participation in an executive strategy planning session.
Commodore is recognized by Junior Achievement of Eastern Massachusetts as a company exemplifying the best in business practices and community involvement. On March 14, Senator Anthony Galluccio and Representative Jeffrey Sanchez announced the 2008 Inductee Companies to the Junior Achievement Boston Business Hall of Fame…and we were one! In a ceremony at the Massachusetts State House, Commodore Builders was joined by fellow inductees from Goeff & Drew’s Incredible Cookies, Mullen and State Street Corporation.
The Junior Achievement Boston Business Hall of Fame recognizes companies for their
excellence in three key areas: success in the free enterprise system, proven commitment to
the community, especially youth and education, and insistence on growth and investment in
Eastern Massachusetts. Junior Achievement provides programs to students that teach business financial literacy, workforce readiness and the importance of staying in school. All programs are provided at no cost to the schools and other organizations and are taught by volunteers from the business community. |
