Despite heavy rain, wind, snow and bitter temperatures, 900 Newton residents, 500 of them children, turned out for Newton’s First Annual Touch-A-Truck event on Sunday, October 18. Trucks of all kinds, from ambulances and back hoes to our very own Commodore rack body truck, were on display for the viewing and climbing pleasure of Newton kids and their families. Barry McGrory, his daughter Aileen and her friend Samantha, were on hand to give eager tots a trip up and down on the lift gate of our truck, newly repainted for the occasion.
Barry and his posse were intrepid. They erected an awning to keep the rain away, set up a table underneath, and filled hard hats with little give-away toys for the kids.
In addition to the 900 people who engaged with Commodore at the event, we’ve been recognized for our participation in public relations materials sent to every home in Newton. Better yet is being able to support the programs and services that make our HQ city a great place to live.
Thanks to Barry & Co. for representing Commodore on a very rainy weekend…and dramatically lowering the recruiting age of future construction professionals!
