“If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball,”
was the motto for the 1st Annual Commodore Dodgeball Tournament.
Nineteen teams made up of over eighty players gathered at the
Waverly Oaks Athletic Club to dodge, dive, dip, duck and dodge some
balls! Commodore was joined by six architectural teams, each hoping
theirs would be the team to take home the coveted Dodgeball Cup.
Cubellis, CBT, Gensler, SMMA, Elkus/Manfredi and Visnick & Caulfield
all competed with Commodore employees, friends and family to re-live
those carefree playground days. The final championship round came
down to Commodore’s Take No Prisoners team and the Change
Orders, one of the six Cubellis teams participating in the
tourny. After some fancy footwork and fiercely intense dodging,
Commodore’s team triumphed…but not without having to put up a good
fight. Plans are already underway to host a second tournament. Stay
tuned to see if Take No Prisoners can defend their title! |
