The nature of construction is that every project is unique and poses challenges like none other. Coming from a family business, working on both residential and commercial projects, my dad instilled in me a hard-work ethic and vast experience, with which I pride myself, both hands-on and about running a small business. I credit my dad and my experiences working with him to building a strong base which has assisted my education at Wentworth and future endeavors.
Working at Commodore Builders has really been exciting due to its unique culture. Our relationships with our clients and subcontractors are important, however, the relationships with the people we work with day to day in this office is profound. Part of Commodore’s philosophy is their insistence of the importance of a culture and its’ continuous learning, education, reinvestment in and celebration of its’ people; all of which are extremely valuable to this company’s future and success. Life is a journey we all embark upon which is influenced by our surroundings. I feel privileged to be part of this team, to have such great leaders and be enriched by this unique culture and its ideology. I often think of Robert Frost’s “The Road Not Taken” and how that relates to my experiences. What has brought us together and where the future will bring us is not yet known but I am sure my time at Commodore Builders will have a big influence on my life and future which will have “made all the difference.”
