In college
I worked in BC Sports Marketing and in the Athletic Office of
Media Relations. I loved the job and I’m still a huge fan of BC
sports. Though, growing up, I was never very fond of playing
any sort of contact sports. I tried youth soccer, but was most
concerned with the ”color” of my uniform. Then on the softball
team I was a pitcher, but apologized every time I struck someone
out. Finally, I decided to focus on figure skating. It was a
time consuming and challenging sport, but it required costumes
made of rhinestones, glitter, and fur - all while practicing to
pop music. I went on to win a few state championships for my
age and level.
