Maintaining their signature high-end look was Priority #1 for Acadian Asset
Management as they began to plan the expansion of their offices.
An
aggressive ten-week schedule was the first challenge to address in a space
that relies heavily on high-end custom millwork for its distinctive style.
The 18,000 SF contains offices, support space, a cafe area, and conference
rooms. Extensive audio/visual and tel/data requirements were met with
special AV furniture, flat screen TVs, and high-tech conference call
equipment. The new server room at 260 Franklin supports multiple Acadian
offices in Boston and required extreme care and zero disruption during the
construction process. A pre-action fire protection system was
installed in the server room to prevent water spray. Commodore worked
closely with the owner to coordinate selection of monitoring systems for
temperature control, air flow and humidity throughout the space.
A Cracs Liebert HVAC cooling unit system was pre-purchased to ensure
that all equipment was onsite in time for installation.
With
material availability a top priority, rapid adaptation by the team was
required when the client added significant scope to the build-out, half-way
through the project.
Closed offices form the perimeter of the space. Each is encased in brushed
aluminum with glass doors and windows. Extensive floor leveling was required
to accommodate this office front system. Blue accents are carried throughout
the office walls, cabinetry and kitchen. The sleek and clean, comfortable
feeling are unmistakably that of Acadian.
