The 1100 sf, 8-week build out of the Purification laboratory began as shell space on the 3rd floor of Building 8, an occupied building on the Biogen campus. New components installed in the lab included newly configured ductwork and sound attenuators for supply and exhaust air. Piping for a purified water supply was installed, along with return lines, compressed air, clean steam, nitrogen, vacuum, and chilled water glycol lines. Radiant heating panels were also installed in an acoustical grid ceiling system. Epoxy floors and manufactured casework with epoxy tops and phenolic resin shelving were put in place.
