Boston Consulting Group completed a three-floor, 90,000 SF occupied renovation in three phases, over a ten month duration. The sophisticated office environment contains extensive custom millwork, a three-story inter-connecting stair with glass curtain wall and floating stair treads, a new café area, offices with Italian state-of-the-art sound-proof glass panel fronts for the highest level of acoustical integrity, and new video conference rooms. An elaborate mock-up of the space was built prior to the beginning of construction to test sound transmission and to elicit user input. Members of the Boston Consulting Group staff were given the opportunity to cast their vote on elements of the interior design.
Commodore’s participation early on in the preconstruction process allowed the team to identify challenges up-front, navigating through strict building management regulations and coordinating a seamless process with minimal disruption as tenants moved between floors to accommodate construction.
The interconnecting staircase required precise coordination for installation of the glass curtain walls and floating treads that were crafted to match the European white oak floors.
Meeting rooms were built around massive conference tables and contain state-of-the-art AV equipment, mechanical shades and sophisticated lighting. |
