This project includes the renovation of 37,000 SF of office and clinical laboratory space for the nationally renowned Mayo Clinic. The office area renovation is roughly 11,800 SF, highlighted by a new vestibule entry and reception area. Beyond the reception area are offices that support the various administrative departments such as human resources, operations, and payroll, and the office space is rounded out with a centralized board room and library.
The remaining space includes a 25,200 SF lab space, completely fitted out and divided into the various wet and dry laboratories where Mayo scientists conduct their research. The complexity of the laboratory space resides with the new mechanical piping for the sanitary and acid waste systems and new plumbing to support the intricate RO/DI, compressed air and lab gas systems. Also included in the space are ADA-compliant bathrooms and a 1,000 SF cold room, constructed for the storage of Mayo’s research product. Highlighted within the lab space are the fixed and mobile casework, peppered throughout the space supporting the various lab equipment.
