This project consisted of the build-out of approximately 7,500 SF of lab space. The space has a DSP (Down Stream Processing/Purification) Pilot room, USP (Up Stream Processing/Fermentation) Pilot lab and USP Development, Media Prep, Buffer Prep and two cold rooms provided by the owner. A 150kw natural gas generator was placed on the roof. The new space is connected to the existing office space with a new stair.
Finishes within the space include VCT flooring, metal cabinets and epoxy countertop lab casework. Equipment placed on the 5th floor included three new water heaters (one 400 gallon and two 200 gallon), fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, bioreactors, chillers, freezers, refrigerators and incubators.
