Spencer Stuart is
a global executive search firm. They selected Commodore as their
partner to build a new Boston office, confident we would achieve
their high standard of quality and meet their tight deadline.
The project required the complete demolition and fit-out of an
entire floor in a downtown Boston, occupied high-rise. A wide range
of offices, cubicles, conference rooms, and mechanical and sprinkler
upgrades were included in the project scope.
Based in Chicago,
Spencer Stuart builds offices around the world and has developed an
exacting set of specifications for their construction. Spencer
Stuart’s new Boston home contains many single-sourced elements,
including custom walnut veneer doors and matching millwork,
specialty glass and unique feature lighting. Elements, like the
imported glass from Vancouver, Canada, required careful management
and extensive coordination between the Owner, Commodore Builders and
the Architect, to ensure they arrived on time and the schedule was
maintained. The tenants located on the floors above and below
Spencer Stuart’s new offices also needed careful attention and much
of the construction work was performed off hours to minimize
disruption.
