US Alliance chose Station Landing as the location for it’s newest credit union branch. The modern design of the branch blends well with the new mixed-use community development complex located on the Mystic River in Medford. Set among condos, apartments, other banks, and stores aimed at professionals, the branch design reflects the dynamic, contemporary environment of the complex.
An aggressive 12-week schedule accommodated limited work hours imposed by the occupied condos adjacent to the site. Material deliveries were carefully coordinated with nearby tenants and a gym under construction across the street. Extensive custom millwork and a wide array of high-end finishes were tracked daily to meet schedule requirements.
The branch anchors a prominent corner of the Station Landing development. The space includes teller stations, offices, a kitchen, bathrooms, vault and a conference room. An aluminum curved sign raps around the building and is complimented by exterior lighting that accentuates the uniquely shaped sign, the tall windows and Reyco glass doors. Soffits installed in the windows illuminate the exterior walls.
The windows allow maximum natural light into the space for a comfortable work environment. The modern design of the axiom ceiling contains three different types of curved ceiling panels. Installation of the uniquely shaped ceiling panels required perfect coordination with the floor tile design that exactly duplicates the ceiling. Custom maple woodwork and custom glass fixtures are punctuated by columns throughout the branch. Extensive plumbing, electrical, and fire systems were installed throughout the space. |
